The Fort Road Federation has three standing committees:

Development and Fundraising
Transportation and Land Use

Community Engagement and Outreach Committee
The Community Engagement and Outreach Committee is responsible for outreach promoting Fort Road Federation events and activities as well as recruiting community members to volunteer and participate in Federation activities.
The Development and Fundraising Committee is responsible for developing and planning annual fundraising activities. Activities may include annual fundraising events and grant opportunities among other things.

Creating new revenue streams

Transportation and Land Use Committee
The Transportation and Land Use Committee responsible for all transportation related matters affecting the Federation Area, including, but not limited to traffic (vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian), parking, and transit, as well as land use, zoning, and planning.
Current work includes:
Making recommendations to the Board on projects requesting support from the West 7th / Fort Road Federation, such as rezoning, variances, conditional use permits, liquor licenses, etc.
Implementing "big ideas," from the Area 1 Parking Study in deep work with community
Joint West 7th Business Association / Fort Road Federation Riverview Task Force
The Joint Task Force of the West 7th Fort Road Federation and The West 7th Business Association actively promotes our mutual vision for the neighborhood’s future. The intent is driven by the need to work together on the immediate transit issue to promote information, strategy, and outcomes toward our mutual vision. Each organization participates with an equal number of members, three initially, or as needed by the task force. Reporting is to the Board of each organization and to the neighborhood.
Recent work includes:
Creation with neighborhood, and approval by the West 7th / Fort Road Federation, of nine principles of agreement around the Riverview Corridor, which Ramsey County is currently planning to be a modern streetcar. Read the principles.
