2013 West End Neighbors' Garden Tour
Saturday, June 15th
The West End Neighbor's Garden Tour is a free event sponsored by the West 7th - Fort Road Federation and organized by the West End Gardeners. The tour is entirely staffed by neighborhood volunteers and paid for by advertising from neighborhood businesses and civic organizations.
From art garden, to bee garden, to “critter hunts” within a formal garden, the family-friendly free garden tour offers children, young and old, a variety of opportunities to explore what it means to garden. For the history-minded, both Lauer Flats and the Henry Lauer home will open their hidden formal gardens to view. A plant sale will be held at the West 7th/Fort Road Federation parking lot. Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions.
For more information about participating in 2014's tour or if you would like support the tour by advertising in next year's guide book please email Kent Petterson or call 651-222-5536.
The 2012 tour was a huge success. Hundreds of people turned out to tour the neighborhood and visit our gardens. Occasional rain showers throughout the day kept the gardens looking fresh and sparkling with vigor.
